4518th Lift Infantry Regiment
The 4518th Lift Infantry Regiment is a premier military unit of the Third Imperium, the Duke of Regina's Own Huscarles, and was founded as part of the Imperial Marines.
Description / Specifications
The 4518th Lift Infantry Regiment was formed by Baron Caranda Aledon of Regina in 622. The regiment has served the Imperium on various planets, in each of the Frontier Wars since its establishment.
Secondment
It is still possible for personnel on active Imperial military duty to be temporarily detached for service with this regiment. This is usually a mechanism to provide the regiment with instructors that have current combat experience and training.
History & Background (Dossier)
The 4518th Lift Infantry Regiment was formed by Baron Caranda Aledon of Regina in 622.
- Following the Battle of Porozlo in 986 in which Equus Volunteer Battalions lose 80% of their effectives during the orbital assault. Some veterans supposedly joined the 4518th Lift Infantry Regiment.
- In 990, 4518th Lift Infantry Regiment participates in apprehending Solomani exiles and operating detention camps in the Spinward Marches until the end of the Solomani Rim War.
- In 1109, during the Fifth Frontier War, an expanded six-battalion 4518th Lift Infantry Regiment operates on Forboldn (Spinward Marches 1807), Alell (Spinward Marches 1706), Efate (Spinward Marches 1705), and Victoria (Spinward Marches 1817).
- After the end of the Fifth Frontier War in 1110, the 4518th Lift Infantry Regiment is assigned to small clean-up operations.
