30th Fleet
The 30th Fleet serves the Third Imperium.
- It is a Numbered Imperial fleet stationed in Khouth Subsector alongside the 31st.
Description (Specifications)
Goals (Mission)
Defence of the Imperial Worlds in the Khouth Subsector.
Strategy & Doctrine (Operations)
Until the Corridor Fleet retired in 1117, the three neighbouring Vargr states, The Dzarrgh Federate, Irrgh Manifest and United Followers of Augurgh were generally supportive of trade, didn't employ Corsairs and actively suppressed Pirates.
The withdrawal of Corridor Fleet utterly changed the strategy to an urgent recruiting and expansion while bluffing a defence. This was almost immediately followed by desperate defence in the face of overwhelming odds and little hope of relief. Thereafter no strategy was required.
History & Background (Dossier)
Rebellion
30th Fleet provided reinforcements to 31st Fleet as it departed with the Corridor Fleet. 30th Fleet remained to oversee the Naval Bases in the Khouth Subsector, and operate those vessels that could not answer the call for logistical reasons; It managed to pull together an additional squadron from reserves at the sub-depot at Degarla and a massive recruiting drive. That unit, and the entire Subsector, was swept away before the unprecedented migration that was the invasion by the Dzarrgh Federate and Irrgh Manifest of 1117 to 1119.
A few support ships managed to join 61st Fleet and one managed to escape to 125th Fleet. One cruiser managed to join the Corsair Alliance.
