Ushkhuur is a preindustrial, oceanic water world.
- It is covered with very deep oceans of water with less than 1% of its land above sea level.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 1% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world. This is a cold world with an overall climate is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Mimu Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Ushkhuur, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the feifdom of a marquis. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world.
- During the Long Night this world was named Gaak.
Ushkhuur is a chilly world entirely covered in oceans of liquid water. The poles are covered by small icecaps and only the equator avoids the year-round drift ice. Weather patterns are unpredictable and often violent and can range from huge electric storms and violent rains right through to dense sea-mists and even, on occasion, gloriously sunny days. The planet has an extremely high gravity: the world is twice as dense as Terra and has a surface gravity of almost 2.5 gees.

History & Background (Dossier)
The local population live in large seabed metroplexes, each of which is self- governing and are protected from the local climate and gravity. Most of the population have little interest in their world and some can claim to have never been outside of the cities. For those who do venture into the wilds of Ushkhuur there are rich rewards: the local lifeforms are intriguing and varied and a well organized underwater expedition can find spectacular vistas.
