Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance.

The Ueghzgi class Corvette is a warship.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

It is a fast maneuverable escort-size ship with heavy missile armaments. Unlike the escort, she is not used as a support vessel in a cruiser squadron, but is organized into squadrons of her own type and used as the primary offensive vessel of the Thirz Uerra. Weak Vargr Corsairs have a marked dislike for the ship, as it is deadly as an opponent, but does not carry enough cargo to be useful as a lone corsair. Strong Vargr Corsair bands are very fond of its firepower and survivability in fleet actions; loot-hauling is for freighters.

It is also known for its incredibly cramped accommodations; "hot-racking" is the norm on this vessel. It is said that on this ship, Frozen Watch is a desirable assignment because they get a whole low berth to themselves. Needless to say, sharing a stateroom rather than a bunk is a sign of charisma; ranking officers who share full-size staterooms are always high-charisma Vargr. In spite of the accommodations, the Corvette is considered a charismatic assignment; she's a deadly fighting ship. Only high-performance fighters and the few Thirz capital ships are considered better (more charismatic) assignments.

There are thirty staterooms for 54 crew. This includes 11 command, 10 engineers, 6 gunnery, 3 flight, 6 services, 3 security, and 15 marines. This is 12 officers and 42 enlisted ranks. The ship has radio, laser and maser communication systems. The hull has electromagnetic masking active and passive EMS sensor suites, EMS jammers, neutrino sensors and a densitometer. The model 7 fib computers feature dynamically linked control panels, and heads up holographic displays. Inertia compensation works in conjunction with grav floor shields. There are five air locks and all sealed portions of the hull feature full life support.

Basic Ship Characteristics[edit]

Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
