Tutrii is a large water world with very deep oceans and less than 1% of its land above sea level. The system has a population of less than 10,000 sophonts. Government control of this world is by an external military force. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Tutrii, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Khiiud.

Local Lifeform: Nushilii[edit]

The hundred or so inhabitants are all IISS members; part of a small survey team investigating the Nushilii, aquatic reducers which feed off the various microscopic lifeforms that exist in the seas.

The world ocean itself contains huge quantities of soluble rare-earth compounds, and as part of the food-chain, the compounds build up in the bodies of the native life. Near the top of the food-chain are the Nushilii, accumulating large percentages of rare-earths as part of their biomass. The survey team are preparing the way for possible harvesting of the Nushilii for their rare-earth compounds from their body tissues.
