History & Background (Dossier)

Wu is a member of the Solomani Confederation, and serves as the subsector capital. It is also the capital of its own multi-system polity, which has endured since the Rule of Man.

Wu and its surrounding worlds prospered through trade, despite the slow collapse of the Rule of Man. Wu specialized in manufacturing high-tech products for export, including to emerging Aslan markets.

By -1100 Wu had become the capital of a small interstellar polity, the Wuan Technology Association. The Wuans maintained rudimentary bioengineering capabilities throughout the Long Night.

Between the Peace of Ftahalr and the expansion of the Solomani Confederation, the exiled Aslan Clan Treakhouaia came to dominate the worlds along the lucrative Wu-Kusyu route.

World Starport (St)

Wu has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
