Whanga supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This world is a satellite of a gas giant or another planet in the system. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Regina Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Whanga, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world.
Astrography & Planetology[edit]
Whanga is a very large, young world orbiting a gas giant. The world has a very active crust with frequent earthquakes and many volcanoes. A survey team from Sternmetal Horizons is currently surveying the planet to judge whether a mine would be profitable. This team and the associated support staff represent the entire population.
Initial indications are that the world has substantial deposits of metal ores such as iron, nickel and zinc, but that volcanic activity will make extraction hazardous and expensive
Whanga is a member of the Spinward Main. It is part of the Regina Cluster.
