Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Vuruna class Destroyer Leader is a light warship.
- It is a military ship and a Destroyer Leader.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
It is a streamlined, needle/wedge structure hull fitted with scoops and on board fuel purification. These ships carry enough internal fuel for three jumps and can carry drop tanks for an addition Jump-1. The design is capable of ocean wilderness refueling unassisted. For defense, the hull is armored to resist minor surface explosions. They carry ten triple sand caster turrets, ten triple beam laser turrets, ten plasma guns firing in a point defense role, a particle accelerator bay and a missile bay for offense. The primary function of this vessel is to transport 374 marines. The marines have a company of ten Firstworlds 3T class Grav APCs. The bridge is supported by a model 4 fib computer, and the engines are capable of 4-G acceleration and have a 1-Agility rating.
