Description (Specifications)[edit]

The richest roleplaying experiences come with good characters. Nonplayer characters embody the essence of the Traveller Universe, and when player characters meet those personalities, that universe comes alive.

Star Vikings presents these personalities to Traveller referees, vividly detailed and ready to bring your campaign to life. With this book, you are equipped to describe the people of the Reformation Coalition campaign setting: its members, its friends, and its enemies…

Thirty-two non player characters are provided for use in any Traveller: The New Era campaign. just reading their backgrounds will provide a rich introduction to life in the Reformation Coalition. Each character description includes all the information needed for play: attributes and assets, biographical and personality sketches, and notes on how to referee each character.

Coalition Officials: The movers and shakers of the Reformation Coalition. These are the people your players will have to work with to be part of the New Era, from Secretary General Lon Maggart, to that auction appraiser that just lives to annoy your players.

Ship Captains: The people keeping trade alive between struggling worlds. The bold commanders of the Coalition's warships, carrying civilisation into the Wilds. From brutal pirate Igor Pankerovski to indefatigable Free Traders to the fiery captain of the Clipper Thunderchild.

...And Their Ships: A separate section details the different ship classes, their armament, and any customising done by their owners. A color section shows each ship's unique markings and provides color maps of the standard trade routes or patrol areas travelled by the ships and their captains.

Coalition Personnel: The people that make the Coalition run. From the grunts - a Schalli demolitions expert and a tough Marine sergeant - to high-level advisors, and everything in between.

Outsiders: A divers collection of the other beings who keep life interesting: allies like Hiver M. Genghis, opponents like Guild Captain Enligi Khargulim, and the first close look at an Ithklur Marine-Philosopher round out the book.

Star Vikings: Not an NPC list, but a whole new way to bring Traveller to life.
