Sestin is a low-population vacuum world, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in population size, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Jerik Subsector of Halcyon Sector.

Cardoz-Sestin System[edit]
The primary is Cardoz, a dim red subdwarf star. It has a luminosity of 0.004 Sols, a mass of 0.273 Sols, and a diameter of 414,000 km. (I-I) an exotic atmosphere radworld, (I-II) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (II) an exotic atmosphere radworld, (III-I) a ringed small gas giant: (IIIa) Sestin is its only satellite and is designated the mainworld, and (III-II) a trace atmosphere iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
- The star experiences periodic flare activity.
(III-I) Rayor[edit]
(III-I) Rayor is a ringed small gas giant that orbits Cardoz at a mean distance of 0.66 AU (98.7 million km), within the outer system, and has an orbital period of 1 year 10 days. It has a diameter of 23,000 km and an atmosphere consisting of 89% hydrogen (H2), 11% helium (He), and less than 1% methane (CH4), carbon monoxide (CO), ammonia (NH3), water vapor (H2O) and other trace gases. It is a pale blue color streaked with high altitude white clouds. It retains a single major satellite.

(III-Ia) Sestin[edit]
(III-Ia) Sestin is the only major moons of (III-I) Rayor and is designated the mainworld. It orbits its parent world at a mean distance of 7 diameters (161,000 km), with an orbital period of 11 days 22 hours: it is tidally locked to Rayor. The axial tilt is 6 degrees relative to Rayor. Sestin has a diameter of 885 km, a density of 3.97 g/cm³ and a surface gravity of 0.05 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Rayor cause occasional geological activity. The atmosphere is rated as Vacuum. The world has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: -156°C. Sestin experiences high levels of background radiation: emission rates exceed 35 rads per hour.
