Duneida-Raffat System[edit]
The primary is Duneida, an ordinary red main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 0.0136 Sols, a mass of 0.3626 Sols, and a diameter of 551,000 km. (I) Parsimon, a small gas giant: (Ib) Raffat is its outer moon and is designated the mainworld, (II) a vacuum worldlet, (III) a large gas giant, (IV) an exotic atmosphere bigworld, (V) a vacuum worldlet, and (VI) a trace atmosphere iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Cemall-Ourze Subsystem[edit]
The companion is Cemall, a dim red main sequence star lying approximately 1200 AU from Duneida. It has a luminosity of 0.0025 Sols, a mass of 0.244 Sols, and a diameter of 334,000 km. (I) a thin atmosphere radworld and (II) a vacuum worldlet form the inner part of the outer system. Orbital positions (III) through (VI) are unavailable due the presence of the companion star. (VII) a thin atmosphere bigworld, (VIII) an exotic atmosphere radworld, (IX) a small gas giant, and (X) a sparse icy planetoid belt form the outer part of the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
The far companion is Ourze, a dim red subdwarf star that orbits Cemall at a mean distance of 1.09 AU (orbital position (IV), 163.1 million km) and has an orbital period of 2 years 111 days. It has a luminosity of 0.00006 Sols, a mass of 0.058 Sols, and a diameter of 74,000 km. (I) a vacuum worldlet, and (II) a vacuum iceworld form its outer system. Neither of the worlds retains satellites.
(I) Parsimon[edit]
(I) Parsimon is a small gas giant that orbits Duneida at a mean distance of 0.22 AU, within the outer zone, and has an orbital period of 62 days 14 hours. It has a diameter of 43,000km and is a heavily banded blue colour. It retains a family of two major satellites of which the outer, (Ib) Raffat, is designated the mainworld.

(Ib) Raffat[edit]
(Ib) Raffat is the outer moon of (I) Parsimon and is designated the mainworld. Raffat orbits its parent world at a mean distance of 20 diameters (2.35 million km), with an orbital period of 75 days 18 hours and a rotation period of 23.25 hours. It has an axial tilt of 2 degrees. Raffat has a diameter of 7,722 km, a density of 4.88 g/cm³ and a surface gravity of 0.59 G. Tidal stresses caused by the gravitational pull of Parsimon cause regular seismic activity. It retains an atmosphere rated as Very Thin, with a surface pressure of 0.22 bar and a composition of 77% nitrogen (N2), 21% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), carbon dioxide (CO2), water vapor (H2O), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Around 48% of the surface is covered in sheets of water-ice and small lakes of water kept liquid by geothermal activity: tidal ranges are neglibile. Mean surface temperature: –116°C. The atmosphere is sluggish and weak weather systems drift around the globe. The climate is static.

Raffat, the mainworld, has native life, entirely consisting of extremophile single-celled cyanobacteria-equivalents that can be found in every geologically active area on the world. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

Raffat has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
