Nulinad, subsector M of Empty Quarter contains 33 worlds with an estimated population of 36 billion, a per capita income of Cr2,674, and a total economy is BCr96,439. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,967 through 32 starports (6 Class A, 8 Class B, 11 Class C, 7 Class D) employing 398,570 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, four Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Nulinad maintain five Scout bases, and two Naval bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 10). The highest technology level is 14 at Guukerrii (Empty Quarter 0138) and Ushmigad (Empty Quarter 0638).

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Surogota is the homeworld of a pseudo-arachnid minor race.

The Panos Settlement of 873 placed limits on Ducal eligibility in the Empty Quarter, subject to revision only by Prince Panos, his heirs, or the Emperor himself. The most important of the guidelines was tying the ethnicity of a ruling noble to their world, 'unless special circumstances dictate otherwise'. Only Vilani or Mixed Vilani nobles may rule the Duchy of Nulinad.
