The Nu Polis Rampart is an astrographic feature located in the Daibei Sector.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The Nu Polis Rampart is a trace of seventeen systems located in the Daibei Sector.

History & Background[edit]

The highest population world in the trace, with approximately two billion inhabitants, is Nu Polis (Hermes Subsector, 1236). The lowest population world in the trace is Firine (Hermes Subsector, 1438) with approximately twenty inhabitants.

The trace was once called the Nu Polis Run. This name was changed after the conclusion of the Solomani Rim War in 1003. Heavy fighting between major Solomani Fleet elements and Imperial Colonial Squadrons based at the high population worlds of Karukhi, Kimel (Narya Subsector, 2137 and 2239), Nu Polis and Oifuerr (Hermes Subsector, 1236 and 1637) raged along this important trace in the opening phase of the war. Nu Polis itself fell to the Solomani in savage fighting in 992. The remaining worlds of the trace changed hands numerous times until Imperial Fleet reinforcements began to arrive from deeper in the Domain of Ilelish. Nu Polis was liberated by Imperial forces in 997.

In honor of the tremendous sacrifice paid by the Colonial Squadrons at the beginning of the war in thwarting the initial Solomani thrusts, the Archduke of the Domain of Ilelish in 1015 officially renamed the Nu Polis Run the Nu Polis Rampart as well as erecting a Hero's Spire in the capital city of Oifuerr to honor those that gave their lives in the conflagration.
