The role of Navigator is a professional vocation.
- A Navigator may be a member of a ship's crew
- An individual should be qualified (skilled) to perform the role.
- When the individual is navigating a Starship they are referred to as the Astro-Navigator or Astrogator.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
A Navigator (other than in the role of Astrogator) is typically either someone who has experience of moving across the terrain being traversed, or someone who has general experience in navigating across various terrains. Navigators are often hired from the population of a place being sought (or at least sufficiently nearby to know where what is sought might be).
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Navigators are typically part of groups on planetary surfaces heading to parts away from well frequented routes.
Professional Certification[edit]
See Astrogator for certification of Astro-Navigators
