Naris is a low-population vacuum world, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in population size, warranting hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Khulikhu Subsector of Verge Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- It orbits in the outer system.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- This world lies on the Great Ilelish Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Naris is a binary star system.
- The primary is an orange main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x4 secondary rocky worlds. One of these - a world with abundant native life - orbits in the primary star's habitable zone.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Naris orbits in the outer system, far beyond the star's narrow habitable zone.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Naris is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Naris has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Naris has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
World Starport (St)[edit]
Naris has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Naris has a population of 70 sophonts (tens).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Naris possesses a Technology Level of TL–15 or TL-F in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Meson Communicators and Pseudo Reality Communications.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, improved collectors, and advanced Fusion+.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Advanced gravcraft.
- Air: Advanced gravcraft and speeders.
- Space: Advanced gravcraft and G-Carriers.
- FTL: Jump Drive-6.
World Government (G)[edit]
Naris has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
World Law (L)[edit]
Naris has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]
Naris, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 1 (ordinary)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 7 (few)
- Labor: 0 (none available)
- Infrastructure: 1 (extremely limited)
- Efficiency: -3 (poor)
World Culture[edit]
- Heterogenity: 1 (monolithic)
- Acceptance: 2 (very xenophobic)
- Strangeness: 1 (very typical)
- Symbols: A (abstract)
