Murchison is a world suited to becoming an agricultural world, but with a population between 10,000 and 100,000 sophonts, but lacks the capability to produce or process sufficient resources to export its projected agricultural produce. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Trin's Veil Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Murchison, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight and a baronet. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
Astrography & Planetology[edit]
It is located within the Katarulu Cluster.
Murchison has a cool climate and a thin oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere tainted with a significant proportion of carbon dioxide, making it unbreathable.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Naval Base hosts elements of the 207th Fleet. Murchison’s naval base is a small affair, servicing only a small patrol and customs flotilla.
Muchison was the touchstone of the Psionics Suppressions. In 818 a mob stormed the then prestigious Murchison School of Mental Excellence, killing several of the students and staff. The failure of the local government and Imperial troops to keep order incited a rebellion from a combined psionics and non-psionic citizens force. What followed was several days of bloody street fighting and months of guerrilla activities which, despite the efforts of Imperial forces, spread throughout the subsector. Most of these events are now forgotten by the local populace.
