Mimiuudlika Subsector is Subsector C of Verge Sector.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The subsector is a bastion of largely Vilani values and traditions. It remains somewhat undeveloped relative to other regions of the Imperium.

  • It is considered to be an Imperial heartland.
  • It has been settled for millennia.
  • The subsector lies on the edge of the Great Rift.

Astrographic Features[edit]

The following astrographic features and trade routes can be found within this subsector:

  • It is a standard stellar density region.
  • The brightest star is the unstable yellow bright giant primary of the Kokka system.
  • Major Xboat Hubs are located at Serai and Mukali.

Stellar Distribution[edit]

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Mimiuudlika Subsector.

  • The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
  • The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.

Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.

  • Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
  • Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

Rifts and Voids[edit]

The subsector lies on the trailing edge of the Great Rift.

  • The rift hinders travel and commerce within the region.
  • It has placed a boundary on Imperial settlement and expansion within the area.

The nature and limits of the rift may be determined by different criteria in different regions.

World Listings[edit]

Comprehensive Second Survey UWP data for all worlds lying within the subsector is available.

Politics & Diplomacy[edit]

The more prominent members of the Imperial heirarchy of Mimiuudlika Subsector include:

Duchies

  • Duke Gregor Gilazi of Serai runs the Imperial presence in the subsector. A competent but not terribly imaginative man, he wrangles his subordinates bluntly but effectively.

Counties

  • Count Karisi ("Chris") Shakaaban of Kuma holds a great deal of sway in an otherwise sleepy region. As a member of the oldest Noble line (even counting the many Barons) in the subsector, notably charismatic, and trusted to know what the area needs from the wider Imperium, the Count holds the Moot proxies for the other high nobles here, and visits the Moot as often as he can manage.

Viscounties

  • Viscount Akarlar ("Akar") Billiams-Bimaash, known to his detractors as "Ahbeeb" of Kokka is perhaps the least liked of the subsector higher nobility.

Marquessates

  • Marquis Julian Migushmukim, of Yalnob, the lowest ranked of the higher nobles, is the lone Marquis here, and would normally be suppressed by the astrography of the subsector, as Yalnob is in close company with the worlds of his superiors. The Marquis has managed to use this to his advantage, however, and is the most energetic of the higher nobles. He is also the youngest among them, and has only been in his position since 1103.
Ilelish Interstellar Information.jpg

News Coverage
Ilelish Interstellar Information Interchange (I4), the leading news and media organization within the sector, keeps close tabs on the activities and personal lives of the rich and titled and their various courtiers. Shows, broadcasts, and articles covering all of the politics, gossip, and scandal are widely available across a variety of formats. It is in open competition with other smaller media companies to be the first to get the top stories.

  • While I4's style of jounalism is generally considered intrusive and sensationalist, the organization broadly supports the Imperial nobility, recognising the importance of the revenue stream that it generates.
  • There are rumors of "understandings" between various parties and of some troubling stories being quashed.
