Mershemu is a desert world with no free-standing water. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Laraa Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Mershemu, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Nanis Aar.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

Mershemu is a member of the Sylean Main.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Mershemu never developed lifeforms though it does have a wide variety of native mosses and lichen, which both replenish the atmosphere and provide a usable food source.

History and background[edit]

This inhospitable dry world is home to a few tribes descended from Terra (Solomani Rim 1827) sub-Saharan nomads, who travel between the few isolated oases that dot the southern sub-arctic zone.
