Dokh Subsector is Subsector A of Tuglikki Sector.

Description / Specifications[edit]

Dokh Subsector is a region that has seen millennia of settlement by Vargr.

  • The resources of the subsector are being exploited.

Astrographic Features & Trade Routes[edit]

The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Dokh Subsector:

Stellar Distribution[edit]

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Dokh Subsector.

  • The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
  • The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.

Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.

  • Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
  • Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

Rift Regions[edit]

One rift area lies within the subsector: the Sogae Void.

Locally at least, a rift is an astrographic concept based on Jump Drive performance.

The boundaries of rifts were established centuries ago, when the highest commonly encountered tech level was TL–12.

This traditional definition of rift regions remains in use today, despite modern high performance starships easily being able to cross them.

Dokh Cluster[edit]

The rimward worlds of the subsector are members of the Dokh Cluster. It is a small Main.

Its member worlds have all declared themselves to be members of the Society of Equals, a Vargr polity in Gvurrdon Sector, including those systems currently under the political dominion of the Bakne Alliance. They share a cultural heritage with the Society as well as many of that state's broad political and ethical views.

  • Through reasons of practicality most remain as non-incorporated members (effectively neutral worlds).

World Listing[edit]

AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:

Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, is likely to be out of date.

  • Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
  • Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Maps of the region created and maintained by interested parties include two names for this subsector. The majority (now Logaksu-speaking) acknowledge Dokh as the name of the subsector. A few maps, with traditional (Gvegh-speaking) roots in Vargr states no longer in existence, refer to the subsector as Lloung Subsector. Imperial charts acknowledge both, noting that the history of the two names is not well documented.

Linguistically, this is a complex subsector with the ruling packs split between the two language groups and the ruled quite often relying on Gvegh or a Gvegh / Logaksu pidgin for the conduct of day-to-day business.

Polity Listing[edit]

The following polities lie within the subsector:

Capitals[edit]

Aroegsukgnu, the capital system of the Rranglloez Stronghold.

Dokh, the regional capital of the Bakne Alliance.

Native Sophonts (NILs)[edit]

The following races (sophont species) are believed to have originated in this area:

Demographics[edit]

Significant populations of the following races (sophont species) reside within this area:

  • Humaniti (Human Races)
    • Mixed heritage, most commonly Travellers, traders, or captives held in bondage by the Vargr.
    • Solomani, primarily from long-established families.
    • Vilani, primarily from long-established (and often reclusive) families.
    • Zhodani, mostly Consular officials conducting state affairs or far-flung merchants and traders.

Major events that have affected this subsector and the wider region that it lies within:

Subsector Summary[edit]

Dokh, subsector A of Tuglikki contains 29 worlds with an estimated population of 17 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,323, and a total economy is BCr92,955. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr213 through 26 starports (6 Class A, 10 Class B, 8 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 73,375 people. Driving this interstellar trade are nine Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Dokh maintain seven Naval bases, and three Corsair bases. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 11). The highest technology level is 13 at Aenagzdars (Tuglikki 0103) and Aroegsukgnu (Tuglikki 0205).

Dokh, subsector A of Tuglikki contains 31 stars and 363 identified planets; 27 monostellar systems, two binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 29 of the 29 systems (100%) have native gas giants.
