Lenkaa is an icy vacuum world with little or no atmosphere and a significant quantity of water frozen on the surface. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. The governance of this world is from Gvadh (Dagudashaag 0906). It is a member of Third Imperium in the Old Suns Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Lancian Cultural Region and the Domain of Vland. Lenkaa, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Gavlamaar.

Astrography and planetology

Lenkaa is a member of the Gvadh Cluster.

Lenkaa is an unlikely site for a colony primarily because of the orbital distance from its primary star.

History and background

Colonists originally settled the world in 476 after a discovery of heavy metals and radioactives. The much dreamed-of mother lode was never discovered and, once the initial rush was over, Lenkaa settled down and became a regular supplier of high quality lanthanum ore. Today the mines are primarily owned by four, mainly family-run businesses with the Government of the planet being supervised by the Bhaital Council on Birkhi (Dagudashaag 1005). There is a great deal of animosity between the various families and blood feuds are common occurrences.
