Kutubba is a rich world.
- As a rich world, this planet has high-grade living conditions and is highly sought after by immigrating sophonts.
- This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
- Some of the sources of this world's wealth are well known, but others remain a mystery. Many speculate on these mysterious sources of wealth. Some even investigate them... to no avail yet.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Nuzuu Subsector of Verge Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below technology standards for Charted Space.
- This a "forbidden" world designated as a Red Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors. Everyone is forbidden to travel here.
- Kutubba is located on the Vilani Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Kutubba is a binary star system.
- The primary is an orange main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x9 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Kutubba is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Kutubba has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Kutubba has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Kutubba is a Forbidden World and is designated as a Red Zone. It presents serious risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that make it extremely dangerous to visitors.
- Travel to this world is prohibited.
Once a thriving, if somewhat detached, member world of the Imperium, Kutubba suffered a catastrophic geothermal collapse beneath its deepest ocean in the late 400s. The predictions around the event caused the world to be given an Amber rating in 460, but the effects of the collapse were worse than anticipated. The atmosphere, borderline tainted prior to the event due to rising industrial development at the then TL of TL–8, became clogged with volcanic byproducts which would persist for decades. Temperatures across the globe fluctuated wildly, and the agricultural capacity of the world plummeted. Over 90% of the population would eventually die or fail to reproduce due to extreme conditions.
The Starport Authority and local nobility at the time made the difficult decision to withdraw from the world, feeling that they could not preserve Imperial presence while watching the unfolding tragedy. The port, formerly rated as a Class C was abandoned, falling to an effective Class D then Class E in a few short years. A second collapse event loomed, and the surviving inhabitants began threatening ships to secure offworld passage. When this resulted in the loss of several ships, the Imperium decided to bombard the remaining port facility from orbit and interdict the world. This condition remains to this day, though a review is due in 1121.
The atmosphere has largely recovered from the disasters centuries ago, but the surviving populace is violently xenophobic.[2]
(See Agent of the Imperium for the start of this tale)
World Starport (St)[edit]
Kutubba does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)[edit]
Kutubba has a population of 30,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Kutubba possesses a Technology Level of TL–2.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Runners or beast relay, the printing press, long distance signaling such as the heliograph and semaphore.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Water wheels and wind power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Riding beasts and creature-drawn wheeled vehicles.
- Water: Sailing vessels.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability or ride-able flying beasts available.
World Government (G)[edit]
Kutubba has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Law (L)[edit]
Kutubba has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
