Kriskus is a moderate population fluid world with over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in population size.
- A fluid world has an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Likagemika Subsector of Verge Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
- This is a hot world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.

Mainworld Data[edit]
Kriskus orbits at the inner edge of the star's narrow habitable zone.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Kriskus is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Kriskus has an Insidious Atmosphere which requires the use of a Hostile Environment Suit or Vacc Suit, but extreme conditions cause the corrosive effects to defeat any personal protective measures in a few hours. TL–10 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences very high temperatures, often exceeding 80ºC in the twilight zone and more than 300ºC in the center of the world's hot side.
- The atmosphere is very high pressure (around 70 atm) and consists of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone, water vapor, and a variety of other trace gases and compounds.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Kriskus has 25-35% of its surface covered by a fluid other than water. Wilderness refueling is not possible. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds may be Hell Worlds.
- This surface fluid primarily consists of nitrobenzine (C6H5N2), created and maintained by a series of unique and complex chemical reactions involving surface minerals and high pressure atmospheric gases, and driven by energy streaming off of the star. It forms an oily yellowish ring of fluid around the hot side of the world, eventually becoming an icecap of sludge and yellowish-white crystals on the world's colder dark face.
- The very high atmospheric pressure increases the boiling point of the fluid seas.

Kriskus is a Puzzle World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.
- Visitors are advised to act with caution.
Kriskus was never incorporated into the Ziru Sirka. Its status under the Rule of Man remains unclear.
Ilelish Interstellar, the leading media corporation within Verge Sector, has offices and facilities on the world.
- It is known for its intrusive and sensationalist style of journalism.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Kriskus has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

Kriskus has a population of 500,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).

Kriskus possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

Kriskus is governed by a Non-charismatic Dictatorship. A continuation of the charismatic dictatorship, where the original leadership has died or retired and replaced by allies or protégés. The reasons for the change in government remain as well as the assertion of rights to rule.
World Law (L)[edit]
Kriskus has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).

- 300-420: the First Survey charts the system.
- 604 to 622: the Imperial Civil War. The region suffers disruption and widespread economic issues.
- 624: the Express Boat Network is established, facilitating communications, trade, and economic growth within the area.
