Subsector B of Corridor Sector.

The eponymous Khukish and Kaasu are both TL-15 worlds, making them extremely influential as a source of starship components and trade goods. Numerous businesses on these worlds have contracts with the Imperial Navy or the major shipping lines.

Khukish, subsector B of Corridor contains 37 worlds with an estimated population of 55 billion, a per capita income of Cr11,775, and a total economy is BCr649,707. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr7,263 through 30 starports (8 Class A, 11 Class B, 6 Class C, 5 Class D) employing 2,369,630 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, six Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and five Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Khukish maintain four Scout bases, three Naval bases, and two Corsair bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Kaasu (Corridor 1209) and Khukish (Corridor 1606).

Khukish, subsector B of Corridor contains 47 stars and 405 identified planets; 27 monostellar systems, ten binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 34 of the 37 systems (91%) have native gas giants. There are two Asteroid (As) belts, two Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, six Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and five Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Khukish has an estimated population of 55 billion distributed across five High population (Hi) worlds, four Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 19 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Durima (Corridor 1205). The population consists of 3 sophont groups.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The Imperial border is very porous in this subsector, largely as a result of cross-border trade with the subsector's central worlds. Some are Imperial client states, with strong ties to the Imperium and willing to host naval ships. Despite this, corsairs prey on the local merchant traffic. Given the nature of Vargr society, the big trade ships of Corridor are a target for more than economic reasons. A corsair leader who takes a 'Corridor Prize' would command the respect and deference of lesser pirates.
