Imkhuruuka Subsector is Subsector O of Verge Sector.
- It is an independent region dominated by humans.
- It is located within Charted Space.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The subsector is a backwater, occasionally crossed by vessels trading between the Imperium and the Aslan Hierate. Though the majority of the population are human, most worlds have small Aslan enclaves.
- It lies entirely within the Great Rift.
- It has been settled for centuries.
Astrographic Features[edit]
The following astrographic features and trade routes can be found within this subsector:
- It is a rift density region.
- The brightest star is considered to be the red main sequence primary of the Ariis system, though most of the other stars within the subsector are broadly equivalent to it in terms of their characteristics.
- No trade routes are noted as crossing the region.
Stellar Distribution[edit]
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Imkhuruuka Subsector.
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map).
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
Rifts and Voids[edit]
The subsector lies within the Great Rift.
- The rift hinders travel and commerce within the region.
- It has placed a boundary on Imperial settlement and expansion within the area.
A simple map showing the general extent of the Great Rift.
(Chart sourced from Traveller Map.)
The nature and limits of the rift may be determined by different criteria in different regions.
- Generally, its boundaries are based on jump performance.
- Areas may traditionally be considered rift regions, even though all of their worlds are accessible to ships equipped with high performance drives.
World Listings[edit]
Comprehensive Second Survey UWP data for all worlds lying within the subsector is available.
- The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
- Other sources may contain contradictory or incorrect information.
Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, is likely to be out of date.
- Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
- Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Lone Star Haulers, an Imperial transport and logistics company, operates within the subsector.
Polity Listing[edit]
No polities exist within (or make any claim upon) the subsector.
Native Sophonts[edit]
No Sophont species are believed to have originated in this area.
Demographics[edit]
Significant populations of the following races (sophont species) reside within this area:
- Humaniti (Human races):
- Mixed heritage (Major Race): broadly distributed across the subsector.
- Solomani (Major Race): broadly distributed across the subsector.
- Vilani (Major Race): broadly distributed across the subsector.
- Non-Human Races
- Aslan of Kusyu, in Dark Nebula Sector (Major Race): small Aslan communities exist on many of the subsector's worlds.
Subsector Timeline[edit]

Subsector Summary[edit]
Imkhuruuka, subsector O of Verge contains four worlds with an estimated population of 10 billion, a per capita income of Cr12,000, and a total economy is BCr120,000. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr558 through 3 starports (1 Class A, 1 Class B, 1 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 98,300 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 12 (with most between 10 and 13). The highest technology level is 15 at Ariis (Verge 2439).
Imkhuruuka, subsector O of Verge contains seven stars and 33 identified planets; one monostellar system, three binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 4 of the four systems (100%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, no Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, no Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.
Imkhuruuka has an estimated population of 10 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, one Non-industrial (Ni) world, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Ariis (Verge 2439). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.
