Rukadukaz Republic ship |
The Honor class Frigate was designed as a Fleet Escort.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The ship has the jump range and speed to keep up with main imperial fleets. It has the acceleration and agility to intercept enemy pursuit craft. The craft is optimized to absorb 29 weapon hits, for staying power in combat. This is a new advanced design which has yet to see wide spread deployment. It has served in the fleet escort role, and is occasionally detached for independent operations. It takes no longer than 36 weeks to build at a competent shipyard. The hull is armored just enough to resist critical hits. The sand and beam weapons can help with point defense. The major offensive punch is the missile bay firing nuclear weapons. It has a low watch to replace crew loses between battles. It can carry a 60 man Marine Combat Team, which can deploy in the cutter/drop ship. The ship can carry two 30 ton modules. The Marine unit can be tailored to specific missions; for example an infantry platoon, tank and artillery platoons with various sized grav sleds and assault capsules.
