Hadji Sector lies rimward of Solomani Confederation space in an area of balkanized space.

  • Numerous minor pocket empires have dotted the area in the past, but have left little but ruins behind by the 1100s.
  • It is a crossroads between Aslan, Hivers, and Solomani.
  • Despite fairly rich trade moving through the sector, the area has a low population density and both raiders and piracy in open space are far from unknown.
  • Solomani Confederation patrols are known to roam the sector from time to time.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

First reached by Terran exploration during the Interstellar Wars, Hadji Sector was previously inhabited by a scattered selection of native sophonts. Evidence suggests one or more of them had attained spaceflight and subsequently lost or abandoned it, but precise identification of these early explorers has proven elusive. When the Terrans arrived, as part of preliminary surveys away from the Vilani, they found no active space travellers awaiting them.

The first Terran survey found little of pressing interest; worlds with exploitable resources were proving to be a dime-a-dozen, and none of the local sophonts were developed or motivated enough to aid in the back-and-forth wars against the distant Vilani. Recognized settlement by Terrans would not arrive in Hadji until after the Rule of Man was formed, but clandestine settlement beat the official efforts by decades.

Trade Routes (Economic Astrography)[edit]

The following astrographic features and trade routes can be found within this area:

Mains, Branches & Arms[edit]

  • No single Main dominates the sector, though there are several present. Two small to medium-sized mains cross the trailing border of the sector from Storr Sector, and another crosses into the spinward edge from Malorn Sector.
  • No further information yet available.

Clusters & Traces[edit]

  • Four clusters or traces of significant size dominate the center and rimward parts of the sector. Two of these are dominated by human settlement, while the other two are the territory of a local minor sophont species.
  • No further information yet available.

Rifts, Voids & Jump Bridges[edit]

  • Several smaller voids are scattered across the sector, forcing what interstellar traffic is present to go around their edges. The largest of these is in the coreward half of the sector, and is known as the Black Lake due to an absence of nearly all types of deep space objects within its boundaries.

The Hadji sector has 451 worlds with an estimated population of 103 billion, a per capita income of Cr7,844, and a total economy is BCr807,940. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr107 through 23 starports (3 Class A, 7 Class B, 13 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 12,885 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Hadji maintain five Naval bases, and five Scout bases. The average technology level is 2 (with most between 0 and 4).
