Guusimka is a high-population world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Vhodan Subsector of Vland Sector in the Domain of Vland.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- Guusimka is located on the Vilani Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Guusimka has a solitary primary star named Simak.
- It is a red main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- An unnamed hot vacuum worldlet orbiting close to the star. It is designated alpha (α).
- Guusimka, a very thin atmosphere temperate world designated as the mainworld, orbiting within the habitable zone.
- Dilash, a cold, small, very thin atmosphere desert world orbiting just beyond the outer edge of the habitable zone.
- The Balii Belt, a narrow rocky planetoid belt, lying within the outer system.
- Dukidd, an ice giant with a small family of moons, orbiting within the outer system.
- An unnamed frozen ice-capped trace atmosphere world orbiting within the cold outer system. It is designated beta (β).
- An unnamed tiny vacuum world orbiting within the deep outer system. It is designated gamma (γ).
- An unnamed frigid corrosive atmosphere superterran world orbiting within the far outer system. It is designated delta (δ).
- An unnamed, heavily cratered, frigid vacuum world with an eccentric orbit marking the edge of the outer system. It is designated epsilon (ε).
- A chart depicting the Guusimka system, based on data provided in "The Flaming Eye".
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Guusimka is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Guusimka has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Guusimka has 85-95% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few small continents, and a number of islands and archipelagos. Dry land is limited. Wilderness refueling is possible.

- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
World Starport (St)[edit]
Guusimka has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Guusimka has a population of 40,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
Urbanization[edit]
Around 60% of the population live in relatively small cities and communities dotted across the surface of the world. The major urban areas are:
- Siilisak (population 8.17 million), the capital city of the world and the site of the world's starport.
- Aringan (population 3.83 million), the administrative center of the western mainland region.
- Rakardi (population 3.63 million), the administrative center of the eastern mainland region.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Guusimka possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government (G)[edit]
Guusimka has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Law (L)[edit]
Guusimka has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]
Guusimka, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 1 (ordinary)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: E (extremely abundant)
- Labor: 9 (billions)
- Infrastructure: C (very extensive)
- Efficiency: +1 (average)
World Culture[edit]
- Heterogenity: A (discordant)
- Acceptance: B (extremely friendly)
- Strangeness: 5 (distinct)
- Symbols: C (very abstract)
World Timeline[edit]

- -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
- The Year 0: the Third Imperium is founded.
- 300-420: the First Survey charts the system.
- 604 to 622: the Imperial Civil War. The region suffers disruption and widespread economic issues.
- 624: the Express Boat Network is established, facilitating communications, trade, and economic growth within the area.
- 995-1065: the Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published. Information about the system becomes widely available.
