History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Graytch had been held back during the Ziru Sirka and the Rule of Man, though they briefly flourished at the beginning of the Long Night. As interstellar trade faltered they regressed to a more sustainable pre-stellar level of technology, weathering the Night as a relatively advanced world. They gained modern jump technology from Sylean merchants and traders in the second century PI and quickly established a small interstellar community, founding outposts in several systems around their homeworld - these tiny but expanding settlements became the Harmony. There was regular contact with the vibrant Lancians, and the Harmony became closely associated with the Lancian Confederation. The Harmony was absorbed by the expanding Third Imperium during the Vilani Pacification Campaign.
The Harmony maintained good relations with the Hanen, a human minor race native to Shakhamash, with some Graytch establishing communities in the world's colder subpolar and polar regions.
The former worlds of the Harmony form the core of the Graytch Cultural Region.
