Frenim is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and nonindustrial in nature.

  • These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • The worldlets require extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Ras Tennol Subsector of Far Home Sector.

System Data[edit]

Uddak-Frenim System[edit]

The primary is Uddak, an ordinary yellow-white main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 2.126 Sols, a mass of 1.144 Sols, and a diameter of 1.639 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a trace atmosphere inner world, (II-I) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, (II-II) a very thin atmosphere inner world, and (III) a dense atmosphere bigworld. (IV) the Frenim Main Belt orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (V) a dense icy planetoid belt, (VI) a large gas giant, (VII) a ringed large gas giant, (VII-I) a ringed small gas giant, (VII-II) a small ice giant, and (VIII) a dense icy planetoid belt form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Mainworld Data[edit]

(IV) Frenim Main Belt[edit]

(IV) the Frenim Main Belt orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. It lies at a mean distance of 1.05 AU from Uddak and is primarily made up of carbonaceous bodies with diameters of less than 50 km. The inner edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of nickel-iron bodies, is considered to lie at around 0.85 AU from the star and the outer edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of icy bodies, is considered to lie at approximately 1.25 AU. The main inhabited body is named Prole, with a mean orbital distance of 0.96 AU around Uddak and an orbital period of 321 days 5 hours. It has a long axis of 130 km, a density of 3.62 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.007 G. It retains no atmosphere and has no hydrographics. Mean surface temperature: -45°C in sunlight, -135°C in shadow.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Uddak-Frenim System[edit]

No world in the system is known to have native life.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

No information yet available.

World starport[edit]

Frenim has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World technology level[edit]

Frenim possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World government[edit]

Frenim is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referendum, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
