Numbering Sources (2018)[edit]
I got the following request on my talk page:
- Thomas, can we change the {{Sources template to numbering instead of bullets?
- That would make it much easier for me to update as I compare the sources with metadata tracking by years.
Therefore we would be changing this:

While I understand the what about the request, the why eludes me. Why does the output of the sources template make your job easier. And does it make sense for, what is essentially and unordered list, to add numeric orders?
Yes, because it makes it possibly to quickly see quantity and not have to count bullets.
- The quantities can be used to compare to the metanotes to make sure that they match in number.
- That's it in a nutshell. Compared and contrasted quantities.
- The metanotes are used by researchers and writers... which then helps to generate new Traveller materials.
- I believe that is a worthwhile goal. More Traveller. Better researched, new materials.

Of the bunch above, I'd prefer the "or this" type of listing, but in general I see no need... but that is a personal decision.
"Or this" works for me too.
