Folly is a vacuum world, with a complete lack of atmosphere. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world contains an archaeological site with artifacts suspected to be from the now-vanished Ancients. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Khandi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Folly, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Vluumkhaa Sa. This world has also been known as Abram's Folly.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

History and background[edit]

Records from the Second Imperium show this system hosted a Scout Base.

In 632, Abram Elan set out from Iesha (Dagudashaag 1712) to explore this impoverished world following a vision he claimed to showed him vast deposits of valuable minerals.

He sold all his possessions, bought a small ship and survey equipment, and went to find his fortune. News of his plans made his way to the media and Elan's adventures (and the world) nicknamed Abram's Folly.

Despite several previous surveys finding nothing of value on the planet. For three decades Elan scoured the planet without a trace of the riches. He died a bitter, broken, defeated, and impoverished in 667.

The current population is made of independent, itinerant prospectors following the footsteps of Elan.
