Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance.

The Euphrates Rio class Fleet Tender is a subcraft-carrying warship.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The majority of the ship is dedicated to carrying attack craft. This represents a large cargo carrying potential which can be dynamically re-purposed for a variety of functions. They can be used for fleet logistic support and to support deployed ground units. Additional quarters or low berths can be fitted to move additional personnel where they are needed. Generally all the cargo space is used to move various combinations of attack boats, and system defense boats into battle. These carried vessels constitute the offensive punch of this design. The ship is fitted with on board fuel purification, but can not scoop its own fuel. It carries the advanced model 3 fib computer to coordinate fleet activities and flight operations for its carried craft. Larger computers and less energy hungry weapons have been tried in variant models. The larger power plant gives the navy some options for this multi-role platform. They are fitted for drop tanks which allow an addition jump 1, beyond the single jump 1 afforded by internal fuel reserves. Additional drop tanks can be carried in lieu of attack craft to extend its operational range. The attack craft and fighters are TL–10 and are produced locally at Hanlon B624776-A by the six nations that rule that world. By treaty each country provides one 300 ton, one 90 ton, and two 30 ton military vessels for the joint operations defense of the realm. The 124 marines are a reinforced protected forces assault company.

Basic Ship Characteristics[edit]

Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]

Variant Models[edit]

This is actually a very basic cargo hauler frame from the Solomani Rim, they were reworked and sold as small fleet tenders. This is a role for which they were never intended. Fortunately, the glorious battle history of the Jurisdiction of Nadon, has seen fit to omit any glaring short-comings of the design which serves as the lynch pin of their abbreviated naval strategy.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

A military aid package from elements within the Solomani Confederation decided to sell some obsolete TL–9 military surplus ships to the Jurisdiction of Nadon. They were built at a small local orbital shipyard, from a block grant designed to promote export industries struggling in the current economy.
