Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Esqua class Escort Corvette is a light warship.
- It is a military ship and a Escort Corvette.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
It is an streamlined, conical structure hull fitted with scoops and on board fuel purification. The bridge is supported by a Model/4 fib ship computer, and the engines are capable of 5G acceleration and have 3-Agility. These ships carry enough internal fuel for four jumps. The design is capable of ocean wilderness refueling unassisted.
- They carry a triple sand caster turret, two triple beam laser turrets, two plasma guns firing in a point defense role, and four triple missile turrets for offense. For defense, the hull is armored to resist minor surface explosions.
- It has no subcraft. Billeted aboard is a boarding party of six marines.
- It has a crew of 22 sophonts.

General Description & Deck Plans[edit]
Widely regarded as a beautiful design even among admiring enemy crews. They are majestic and proud, streamlined combat hulls in a livery of black, green and bold yellow stripes over ablative and energy absorbent armored platelets. There are six forward hunter-killer torpedo tubes and another six more aft. The triple sand casters are in a tail gunner pod packed with jammers and ECM counter measures. The massive maneuver drive nacelles are swept outriggers under each wing. There are sentinel dorsal and ventral remote triple beam laser turrets for anti-shipping fire missions. The angry plasma guns are tucked under the chin for furious, high intensity point defense fires. The matte black nose is a crooked needle hiding a fire control sensor farm of antennae and synthetic aperture EMS doppler arrays. Crew morale is generally very good and most love these vessels and are fiercely loyal to them.
Basic Ship Characteristics[edit]
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (...of ten subcraft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (...thousands of tons) where necessary. History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This design is a product of the orbital boatyards of Garin (Far Home 0910), and represent one of the minor combatants of their fleet. This design serves with the Firstworlds fleet. Two of these ships can be carried aboard Garin class Light Carriers, for extended range scouting far beyond the border. In Service: 100.
