The Edinburgh class Light Frigate is a light warship.
- It is a military ship and a Light Frigate.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
These sleek saucers are still effective, and show some improvements over the Montrose class Light Frigates. Their speed and spinal mounted meson gun allow them to contend with the typical Light Cruisers they are arrayed against. When well handled and fought intelligently they often give a good account of themselves in fleet actions and space battles. However, they have certain limitations which must be kept in mind for intelligent use and deployment. They still retain the Jump-2 drives that lack the patrol range of their contemporaries. Only a single scout/sniper detachment is afforded assault re-entry drop capsules. The rest of the tiny marine platoon must use the ship's boat to deploy and recover.
