History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Drien is one of the four major worlds of the Tellerian Cluster. It is a strict religious totalitarian state based on the rule of the Prophets of Rauhe. Followers of the cult leader Rauhe violently seized control of the world in 835. Drien tolerates no other belief system and has attempted to spread its religion to other worlds, albeit with limited success.

Drien only reluctantly signed the Council of Worlds Agreement after presented with an ultimatum from Maya and the Trelyn Domain.

Military[edit]

Drien ships and troops are less technologically advanced or well-equipped than those of Telleria, Ralnn or Orylla, but the fanatical devotion served its soldiers well against Oryllan and Tellerian forces at Octava, Gyrkyn and Gyatsa. Since 864 Drien has never formally been at peace with any of the other Tellerian Cluster powers, although it occasionally agrees to armistices.

World Starport[edit]

Drien has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
