Dougfoekoeng has the population located in one or more dwarf planets or planetesimals in a co-orbital position, an asteroid belt. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Ascendancy Pact in the Irrarrdhang Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.
World Data[edit]
Dougfoekoeng (Knoellighz 1228) A000451-D As Ht Ni C:1430 is run by a Feudal Technocracy that has departments based on the type of extracted minerals and elements found in this system. A member of the Ascendancy Pact in Irrarrdhang Subsector, Dougfoekoeng is the recipient of the polity deed to Roghoeg (Knoellighz 1430) as a provider of this planetoid system's life support needs of air, water and other logistics to keep the mining interests in business. A bright, orangish, K9 V star has widened the habitable zone but for lack of a true planet in that band of distance.
Throughout the system are found planetoids preceded and followed by clusters of smaller asteroids in Trojan points, though none of them qualify as planetoid belts. Yet within these former planets are found a plethora of industry resources that indicated to the Representatives a need for an A-rated Starport over the planetoid in the safest, most habitable distance from the solar primary possible. Difficult to approach, many Prospecting vessels have been pulverized by the "Teeth of Dougfoekoeng" at each planetoid. Permits for mining operations are given only to vetted, highly skilled vessels warned of a local deficiency of rescue vessels that have been stationed in-system.
A lack of Gas Giants makes logistics difficult as fuel reserves must be considered. Only Jump-2 capable or better ships can make the trek to this world by jumping from adjacent parsecs with water sources, Starport facilities, or Gas Giant wilderness refueling. This cloisters the belt world of Dougfoekoeng somewhat; however this parsec of space is located on the “growing edge” of the polity and still enjoys some novelty. This same novelty and fresh grounds for resource extraction have developed an increased smuggling and tariff dodging that has forced the local government to repeatedly request for an increased Naval patrol to enforce taxes.
