Dineal is a poor, non-agricultural and nonindustrial hellworld with a population struggling to survive in a inhospitable environment. It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.

The Ancient Studies Department of the University of Gehraid at Dineal has been studying the ruins of an Ancient base on Bari since 803.
