Cauldron Spill

The Cauldron Spill is a dispersed cluster of stars lying within the Where The Stars End region of the Empty Stars. It is generally considered to be an adjunct formation to The Cauldron.

Details / Specifications

The Cauldron Spill is a large grouping of stars covering parts of Cauldron Sector, Kalash Sector, Range Sector, and Shandara Sector. It is bounded by the Basilisk Rift to coreward, the Empty Reach to trailing, and Fools Rift to rimward. Its spinward regions are dominated by The Cauldron.

History

The positions and types of the stars that make up the Cauldron Spill have been cataloged as part of the University of Tal Varisa Deep Sky Program.

Although its exact route is unknown, academics consider it likely that the Last Armada picked its way across the rimward parts of the Cauldron Spill as it fled the destruction of Terra and the pursuing Vilani.
