Aska has complete lack of an atmosphere, but does have some water frozen on the planet's surface. The system has a population between 10 million and a billion sophonts, with a self supporting industrial base. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Iiradu Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Aska, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdom of a marquis. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. During the Long Night this world was named Vlisis.

Astrography and planetology[edit]

Aska is a member of the Sashar-Pamushgar Cluster.

The Aska mainworld is the only planetery body in this system. The twin stars of Stumifok and Bedic occupy the place of pride with three small gas giants orbiting them. The third star, Trehm, lies in orbit 14 and Aska orbits this third star.

History and background[edit]

This vacuum, ice-capped world boasts a surprising population of over 60 million people who live in a number of large underground cities. Aska has to rely heavily on technology from other worlds, and regular shipments to keep the large scale life support system operational. There are daily shipments arriving from Daas, via a contract with Sharurshid.

Much of the population spend their time in sizable employment complexes that house, feed, entertain, and provide jobs for the populace. Space is at a premium in the cities, and as a result it is only the wealthy or criminals who live outside the employment communes. People who live outside the communes are forced to scratch a living as temporary laborers, take illegal work from local gang leaders, or work for the employment companies.

Life on Aska is complicated by the low level of self-control exercised by the population. Askans are very unstable, with severe mood swings and personality shifts begin commonplace.

The largest single employer is the law enforcement agency. The agency is constantly looking for the more stable individuals. Their duties are generally quite limited, involving policing residential areas to keep petty squabbles to a minimum.
