Arkadia is a moderate population world, too many sophonts to be an agricultural world but not enough to be an industrial world. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Vilis Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Arkadia, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of an Imperial knight and a baronet, and the fiefdoms of a marquis and a viscount. All four are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world.
Astrography & Planetology[edit]
The planet is a geologically unstable world, prone to frequent earthquakes and eruptions. It has a normal climate and a thin oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere, slightly tainted with volcanic gasses.
The system is located in the Vilis Trace.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Arkadia's population is separated between several widely scattered settlements.
Starport[edit]
The starport is located in a tectonically secure location many miles away from major population centers. It is a classic Class E Starport in its most literal form: a bare, flat, rocky place with a beacon. It is, however, fenced off. All official access points are guarded by the Artisans' Customs Service. All cargo entering or leaving the port is inspected carefully to be sure that proper export permission has been given, as only the highest quality items are allowed to leave Arkadia.
Government[edit]
Three representatives from each major settlement are sent to the capital. Which settlement is the capital changes annually, and deciding which holds the position for a given year is a major function of the local democratic process.
Trade[edit]
The Arkadians produce few exports, and see little trade.
Historical Data[edit]
Arkadia was originally colonized in 198 by Sword Worlders from Colada (Spinward Marches 1022) and named Aroundight. After being cut off from the Sword Worlds Arkadia regressed and was eventually taken over by Imperial settlers. Arkadia was granted Imperial membership in 576.
