Arba is a vacuum world, with no atmosphere or hydrosphere. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Lunion Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Arba, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world.
Astrography & Planetology[edit]
The only star in the Arba system is a stellar class M2 V. There are no gas giants and a single planetoid belt in the system.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
During the opening assault of the Fifth Frontier War Arba was captured by the Gram Fleet of the Sword Worlds Confederation as part of an invasion of the Lanth Subsector. By 180-1109 Arba had been retaken by Imperial forces assigned to the 100th Fleet, which occupied the system for the remainder of the war.
Except as an occasional stopover for jump-2 ships traveling to and from Lanth or Dyrnwyn, Arba is a world of little significance. The small colony was established to back an Imperial territorial claim, thus preventing the Sword Worlds from “legitimately” colonizing the system and expanding their sphere of influence. Local companies mining copper and zinc make a reasonable profit, but only due to Imperial subsidies aimed at keeping the colonists on planet by providing them with an excellent living.[2]
Society is individualistic and permissive.
