Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Aman Urk class Heavy Battle Rider is a warship.
- It is a military ship and a Heavy Battle Rider.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
It is a vessel with 6-G and J-0 performance. Streamlined and heavily armored this design can neither scoop nor refine fuel for its Uurogin class Fleet Tender. These are a heavier alternative to the smaller 19,000ton Cleon class Battle Riders. This design carries several redundant systems to compensate for battle damage including: a complete 4-G maneuver drive unit, a command bridge with its own a Model/9 fib ship computer.
- It carries light armament and a defensive suite. This design is optimized to be as small as possible and still carry the heaviest firepower and maximum protection. They can absorb tremendous hits and destroy enemy ships of the line. Retreat, however is not a viable option. It is equipped with a Factor-9 nuclear damper and a Factor-9 meson screen.
- It ordinarily carries four 50T Cutters and ten 50T Heavy Fighters (...a squadron of heavy fighters).
- It has a 1,121 sophont crew and 650 marines.
