History & Background (Dossier)

Ursthae (Knoellighz 1014) E9B0000-0 Ba De Lt was found to have too dangerous atmosphere to colonize after its initial survey. Insufficient interest and funds and a lack of public drive has marginalized this world in favor of its Jump 1 neighbor in the Engakhs Independent Cluster, Zovoe (Knoellighz 1013). An orbital-drop beacon was soft-landed at the lowest altitude salt flat far below the corrosive, upper atmosphere of this Desert world. Though the surface gravity of Ursthae was palatable to the colonists from Khezoeridosai (Knoellighz 1212), Zovoe’s similar gravity was more appealing. Thus, Ursthae is overlooked and undesired for much more than smugglers trading in dead-drop, Cutter pickups labelled the “Cutter Runs”. Lacking Gas Giants and empty of planetoid belts, there is little-to-none attraction to this system.

Relegated to resource mining sometime in the future, there are no mining operations as of 1105. In 1118, zuchai crystals were found in the crust by a second survey team and kept a Khezoeridosai state secret. Operations to extract the finds were clandestinely conducted under the collective noses of the other colonies and enriched the shipbuilding industry even further thanks to the monopoly they possessed already.
