Subsector A of the Empty Quarter Sector. This subsector is noted for the world of Ikon, one of the most historically influential worlds in Ovaghoun Vargr space. "Ikonaz" culture, an odd but enduring blend of Ovaghoun Vargr and Vilani traditions, dominates the subsector and surrounding areas. The modern Ikonaz Sphere is controlled by the Rukadukaz Republic, a core member of the Julian Protectorate.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

As part of the tail end of the great Vargr Pillaging (of -2400 to -1700 Imperial), the packs of the fabled Loi Kungkeisoleoeksknusin seized Ikon in -1711 Imperial, late in the Long Night. This first ‘proto-Ovaghoun’ government in the region came to depend upon conquered Vilani-descended humans of Ikon, and in time a blended culture arose.

Unlike in most Vargr-dominated regions, the Vilani element on Ikon created a clear (if convoluted) bureaucratic paper trail that careful historians can use to trace the development of this subsector's history.
