Tsaerlon Subsector is Subsector G of Tuglikki Sector.

Description / Specifications[edit]

Tsaerlon Subsector is a region that has seen millennia of settlement by Vargr.

  • The resources of the subsector are being exploited.
  • Many worlds within the region are involved with the interstellar slave trade.

Astrographic Features & Trade Routes[edit]

The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Tsaerlon Subsector:

  • The subsector is a standard stellar density region.
  • It contains one major rift area: the Tsaerlon Gap.
  • The brightest star is the red giant primary of the Kzang system.
  • No major trade routes cross the subsector.

Stellar Distribution[edit]

A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Tsaerlon Subsector.

  • The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
  • The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.

Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.

  • Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
  • Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.

Rift Regions[edit]

One rift area lies within the subsector: the Tsaerlon Gap.

  • The Gap lies along the spinward edge of the subsector.

Locally at least, a rift is an astrographic concept based on Jump Drive performance.

The boundaries of rifts were established centuries ago, when the highest commonly encountered tech level was TL–12.

This traditional definition of rift regions remains in use today, despite modern high performance starships easily being able to cross them.

World Listing[edit]

AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:

  • The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map.
  • Other sources may contain contradictory or incorrect information.

Dzozuk  •  Kzang  •  Orghoungvog  •  Uel Ruekoza  •

Note that some Second Survey data, though only 40 years old, is likely to be out of date.

  • Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
  • Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

Demographics[edit]

Significant populations of the following races (sophont species) reside within this area:

  • Humaniti (Human Races)
    • Mixed heritage, most commonly Travellers, traders, or captives held in bondage by the Vargr.
    • Solomani, primarily from long-established families.
    • Vilani, primarily from long-established (and often reclusive) families.
    • Zhodani, mostly Consular officials conducting state affairs or far-flung merchants and traders.

Subsector Summary[edit]

Tsaerlon, subsector G of Tuglikki contains 25 worlds with an estimated population of 12 billion, a per capita income of Cr1,286, and a total economy is BCr16,442. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr292 through 23 starports (4 Class A, 10 Class B, 8 Class C, 1 Class D) employing 81,345 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Tsaerlon maintain five Naval bases, and four Corsair bases. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 11). The highest technology level is 14 at Uel Ruekoza (Tuglikki 1917).

Tsaerlon, subsector G of Tuglikki contains 34 stars and 329 identified planets; 17 monostellar systems, seven binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 25 systems (100%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, one Desert (De) world, no Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, four Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Tsaerlon has an estimated population of 12 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, three Moderate population (Ph) worlds, nine Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, six Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Thosaedhuedouk (Tuglikki 2319) and Dhursrrong (Tuglikki 1813). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.
