Tripolis is a high-population garden world with a billion or more sophonts in population size and a near-ideal utopian environment conducive to most sophonts.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Miruu Subsector of Verge Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- It is a chilly tundra world, with a climate of low temperatures.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- This world serves as the sector capital with the considerable extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
- This world has a nearby Imperial Way Station.
- This world lies on the Nuzuu Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Tripolis is a binary star system.
- The primary is an orange main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.
- They are close companions.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x2 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Tripolis has a circumbinary orbit, circling around both stars and receiving their combined energy output.
It orbits towards the outer edge of the two star's combined habitable zone.
Additional detailed survey data is available here.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Tripolis is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Tripolis has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
- It experiences low temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Tripolis has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- The world's oceans are littered with icebergs and pack ice.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
The world has abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche.
- Native lifeforms are cryophilic - they thrive in very low temperatures.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Tripolis is the Imperial capital of Verge Sector. It receives significant prestige for this role and a huge amount of traffic travels to and from the world.
During the Long Night, Tripolis served as the capital of the Old Verge Combine, a small polity claiming sovereignty over a number of worlds.
The system is defended by the 143rd Fleet.
Ilelish Interstellar, the leading media corporation within Verge Sector, has its corporate headquarters on the world.
- It is known for its intrusive and sensationalist style of journalism.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Tripolis has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The world is host to an Imperial Way Station.
- It is also host to an Imperial Naval Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Tripolis has a population of 20,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Tripolis possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-5.
World Government (G)[edit]
Tripolis is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
World Law (L)[edit]
Tripolis has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]
Tripolis, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of three members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial count.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial subsector duke.
