Behind the Claw adds a number of pre-Long Night populations to worlds in the Spinward Marches, including three minor human races in three throwaway references. However, Darrians state that at the time the Itzin Fleet reached the Marches, there were human population only on Darrian, Algine, Vanejen, and "a few Zhodani worlds". This is the best I can do to reconcile the two sources.
