Sii'kha is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and is also a low-population vacuum environment with a population less than 10,000 sophonts in population size, warranting hazardous environment precautions.

  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • It is a member of the Sath Alliance in the Sarudis Subsector of Far Home Sector.
  • Warning: humans are not welcome within the Sath Alliance. Those few humans that venture into its territory are generally met with a hostile reception and are closely monitored at all times.

System Data[edit]

Ka'aa-Sii'kha System[edit]

The primary is Ka'aa, a cool red dwarf star. It has a luminosity of 0.007 Sols, a mass of 0.331 Sols and a diameter of 498,000 km. It has a red subdwarf companion, Ika'ah, which orbits at (XI) 148.5 AU. (I) a vacuum worldlet, (II) the Sii'kha Main Belt, designated the mainworld, (III) a large gas giant, (IV) a small gas giant, and (V) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Ika'ah Subsystem[edit]

The companion is Ika'ah, an ordinary red subwarf star lying approximately 148.5 AU (orbital position (XII), 22.2 billion km) from Ka'aa. It has a luminosity of 0.067 Sols, a mass of 0.134 Sols and a diameter of 272,000 km. (I) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (II) a small ice giant, and (III) an exotic atmosphere bigworld form the outer system. Both of the worlds retain satellites.

Mainworld Data[edit]

(II) Sii'kha Main Belt[edit]

(II) the Sii'kha Main Belt orbits within the outer system and is designated the mainworld. It lies at a mean distance of 0.4 AU from the star and is primarily made up of carbonaceous bodies with diameters of less than 100 km. The inner edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of nickel-iron bodies, is considered to lie at around 0.3 AU from the star and the outer edge of the belt, which contains large amounts of icy bodies, is considered to lie at approximately 0.5 AU. The major named body within the belt is Hi'khii, an irregular rock with a mean orbital distance of 0.35 AU around Ka'aa and an orbital period of 65 days 9 hours. It has a long axis of 150 km, a density of 3.35 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.007 G. It retains no atmosphere and has no hydrosphere. Mean surface temperature: -55°C.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Ka'aa-Sii'kha System[edit]

No world in the system is known to have native life.

Ika'ah Subsystem[edit]

No native life is known to exist within the subsystem.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

This system is controlled by the Ka'sa Faction of the Sath Alliance.

World starport[edit]

Sii'kha has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World technology level[edit]

Sii'kha possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.

World government[edit]

Sii'kha has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
