History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The known history of Ruupiin Sector is punctuated by relatively few events. The first, three million years ago, was a small supernova at what would later be known as Tareeiri (transliterated as "Thirty" in Galanglic) currently located in roughly the center of the sector. This event sterilized many worlds that were too close, began the coalescence of several new stars, and caused mass extinctions and troubled times for worlds up to about 30 light years in all directions. Due to fortunate circumstances of stellar arrangement in at least two cases, sophont races would later emerge from this supposedly barren wasteland, while the slightly increased background radiation would jumpstart evolution on worlds across much of the sector.
The most significant race to emerge from the heart of the Tareeirii Wastes was the K'kree.
