History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Rushu is a Vargr world that is a Client State of the Zhodani Consulate.
Rushu is notable as the one world in the Marches colonized by Vargr. In 1070 the Rukh Aegz (the Worlds of Leader Rukh) first established the colony, buying out the existing human settlements at a fair price. In 1099, Rushu declared its independence from the Rukh Aegz and aligned itself with the Zhodani.
In 1099, a chartered survey vessel measured the length of the river Ozhuegh Thuerrhozu (called the "Rushu River" by humans). The city of Ozhuegh (called "Rushu City" in Anglic) sits on either side of its wide mouth. The initial measurement puts the length of the river at 8,150 kilometres, making it one of the longest rivers in the Marches. At its widest point, during Rushu's flood season, the river is 26.6 kilometres across, and 1.85 kilometres during Rushu's dry season.
